Iron & Wine.

Possibly one of the best things that has come to music? Yes.
Great live? HELL YEAH.
Is that me standing next to Sam from Iron & Wine? Why yes it is.

Am I still flying in bliss from yesterday's show at Fingerprints? Why yes I am.

Did I actually dream about him last night in my short slumber? Why, I sure did.

His beard definitely lived up to expectation.
I was quite pleased.

Perturbed.
You know how sometimes you don't want to ask questions because you know the answer isn't going to be what you want? Well, today I made myself ask a question, and I heard the undesired answer and it was definitely not what I wanted. Some types of questions I am not good at asking because I have never had to ask them, especially to certain types of people. I know that you are supposed to, though (ask the questions)...so I did, but I found that as soon as I did, I didn't know how to respond. So I just said "ok " and ended the conversation.

I felt dissatisfied.
I feel dissatisfied.
I need to fix this.

It's important to me.

like today, for instance.

journal.

First off, I want to be a diva like her:

Secondly, I am still madly in love with The Kooks. I cry of happiness, and longing, when I think of their show that I went to. A girl can wish, and dream. I know this, because I do.

Also,
It's looking like today is going to be an amazingly fun day. I can feel it already and it is SO incredibly early!

Oh, and last night I decided to catch up on the new 90210 (DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME!) and I didn't finish it. I woke up on the couch this morning in a funky position with the TV still on, mocking me, of course. I need to learn how to watch TV/Movies without falling asleep.

summer goal:
  • watch tv/movies without falling asleep

No socks Day!

I am taking my socks off right now.
Just so you know.

I went to Rite Aid.

Walking in I was greeted by a toupee'd man.

Did I jump in excited joy? Yes.
Did I reach for my camera and make my sister take a picture of me and toupee'd man? Unfortunately, Yes.

*See him? The one in the light blue button up, name tag and tie? to the left of me? yeah, that's him. See it? It's... beautiful.
**Don't judge my ensemble, today was my relaxing day.

Did I tell you that this morning after giving my friend a complement, telling him that he looked super summery, he told me I looked "well rested" ? Because he did. We all know what that means. So, you know, don't go there.
I am unsure as to for what reason(s), but I like unflattering pictures much MUCH more than I like "good" ones.

...maybe it's character?

Last Night.

In honor of Cinco De Mayo my dear friend and I got Mexican Mochas from a local coffee shop and then ended up at a Denny's Diner. We sat for about an hour and a half, talking about where we are going for the summer: BISBEE, ARIZONA!!!

First off,
HAPPY FIFTH OF MAY!

Secondly,
Walking at school without shoes= feet peeling off/owwwwwwie

*note to self: avoid walkways made of brick when walking barefoot.

As I sit in the library.

"Chrisina"

I looked around, bewildered.

"Christina?"

That's my name, but how does she know it? Glancing at my sweater, shoes, wallet, then the cashier lady--HOW DOES SHE KNOW MY NAME?! An odd feeling of panic was taking over me. Is there another Christina? Who is she talking to?

"Christina"

I blinked a few times, yep, she is saying my name. She IS in fact looking straight at me.

"That is my name, yes," I stammered out. She probably thinks I am on drugs now. That I am psychotic, or something.

"...for the tall mocha, do you want an extra shot on the house?"

"Oh, yeah, thanks."

I suddenly felt very embarrassed. It was like I was on a cloud of sickness. Nothing made sense; everything was different. I finished my transaction with the cashier and went to the counter to retrieve my beverage.

"I'm so sorry I ignored you and gave you a weird bewildered look like you were a creepy stalker. I didn' t mean to make you feel stupid and second guess yourself. I'm sorry. I, um... have been really sick today."

She smiled and said it was ok. She said something else but I was back on my cloud again and I turned to walk away. My environment faded away again, strangeness was all around.

Today has been nothing but...strange.

This morning was fine:

  • I missed my first class because I woke up late and had to take a shower. It was day three. No avoiding it.
  • I went to the library and had enjoyable conversation with Chelsey and another friend.
  • I was making zombie noises. I was feeling normal (for me). I was feeling happy, and fine and content.

...But then, it went downhill.

  • I was sweating profusely in my math class. I think it's because I was overly worried that my teacher hates me because I miss her class so often. I almost left because I was so uncomfortable, my skin was burning more than it ever has.
  • I fell asleep in my history class, and Jlee tapped me to ask if I was taking notes and I almost screamed because I was so startled.

Right now I am feeling extremely out of body.

I am feeling very weird.

Spontaneous Coastal Adventure Re-cap.

It was 2pm and I was still in my pajamas (or equivalent clothing) moping in my room...when my dearest friend called me.

ADVENTURE TIME!

I quickly stepped into my pants that were there on the floor (freshly stepped out of from yesterday) , changed my top, pony tail'd the hair and tamed it with a headband, found jacket, purse and keys and rushed out the door.

Our plan? HEAD TO THE COAST AND GO NORTH! wherever the road could take us.

Well, it took us all the way to Malibu.

I had the most enjoyable time talking, taking pictures, wandering the road/land and being free. I can't wait until the summer arrives and we can make our day adventures into DAYS by adding some camping and hostile action, maybe a hotel or two.

Overall? A great day.

Pre-trip rant.
